Paul Harris Fellowship Award

Paul Harris Fellowships may be awarded by Rotary Clubs to Rotarians and other members of the community who have given exceptional service. This special honour is named after the founder of the Rotary Movement.

In July 2001 The Lord Lieutenant of Hampshire, Mrs Mary Fagan was awarded a Paul Harris Fellowship by the members of the Andover Club.

The Club recognised Mrs Fagan's exceptional public service throughout Hampshire but also voiced warm appreciation of her contribution in the Andover area.

President Per Sabroe made particular mention in  citation of Mrs Fagan's loyal and continuing support for the Countess of Brecknock Hospice in Andover.

In her reply, Mrs Fagan thanked the Rotary Club members for their financial support of the Hospice over many years.  Over £30,000 had been contributed through the Club's fund raising efforts.
