50th Anniversary 1999

To mark the occasion, President Richard Evans awarded a Paul Harris Fellowship to Mrs. Isabel Colebrook in recognition of her services to the community and in particular to Inner Wheel, the British Red Cross and the Girl Guide Association.

Richard also presented each member of the Andover Rotary Club with a copy of the original Charter from 1949.

One Rotarian, Cyril Berry, spanned the years by being present in both 1949 and 1999. Cyril was a young reporter with the Andover Advertiser and attended the dinner in 1949 to report on the Charter presentation. The following year he joined the Rotary Club and attended as a Rotarian in 1999.
